SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK

A couple weeks ago my brother & his family came to town from Colorado. They were here almost a week & we made sure to get in as much as we could while they were here. We went to the beach, they went to the USC football game, went to Universal Studios & my favorite part, was spending two days in Sequoia National Park.

It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I was aware just how close Sequoia was to where we live granted, it is 3 & 1/2 hours away, but it's a lot closer than I ever imagined. It is definitely a do-able day trip in my mind & I'm already itching to get back (literally the story of my life anytime I go anywhere). We got up there in the afternoon & headed right up to the park. The road into the Sequoia's is steep & windy, covered in dry leaves & landscape, but as you climb higher you see the plants changing from yellow to green & being so lush, it's so crazy & pretty to watch happen as you drive by. Watching all the little cousins run around with each other was so much fun & so dirty. Cedar was covered in dirt from playing with them & crawling all over the trees, they loved it & Cedar has been asking for them ever since they left.

We did as much as we could in our short time spent in Sequoia, we checked out General Sherman (the largest tree in the world!), walked the Crescent Trail, hiked Moro Rock, drove through Tunnel log & even made it up to Kings Canyon National park (two parks two days, wahoo!) where we went to General Grant Grove. A few fun facts for you: 1. Sequoia & Kings Canyon were designated Sequoia-Kings Canyon Biosphere Reserve in 1976, which is pretty cool. 2. Full grown sequoia trees take up to 2,000 years old. 3. Tunnel log was created when the tree fell over in 1937 & instead of chopping it down, they put a whole in it allowing tourists to drive through the tree.

THE COPPER PEARL

When I first learned about Copper Pearl's bandana bibs I knew that I wanted to use them for Milo. They have so many cool designs, are totally affordable & are practical. Since Milo has started teething he has lived in bibs, I wanted some that would be easy to wash & that we're comfortable for him to wear & the Copper Pearl definitely were. The bibs have two button clasps making it so the bibs have two different size settings which is so convenient.

Along with their bibs I got one of their carseat/nursing covers & I have loved it. Since I don't nurse it has primarily worked for my carseat, but it has been great for grocery carts & to lay Milo on when I don't have an extra blanket. The material is seriously so soft & stretchy, Milo loves the feeling with it & is constantly trying to grab it when it is on his carseat!

I have loved using Copper Pearls goods & definitely recommend them to anyone looking for baby products. Make sure to check out their site here & use the code KERRYJUNE to get 15% off all orders through October 7th!
