a few from the weekend

we aren't very good at taking a normal looking picture
we've been keeping ourselves unusually busy lately. after coming home from city of rocks, austin & cedar went to the lehi rodeo with his family while i went to my cousins wedding shower, where i stayed forever catching up & reminiscing about old times growing up & our grandparents. it was so much fun, i love when we all get together, it really should happen more often.
friday was spent running errands around town & going to provo to get cedar's birth certificate fixed (they had austins birthday wrong on it) so that we could finish getting his passport & visa for spain. that night we had dinner with morgan & kristi, my brother & sister-in-law, at the dodo & playing blockus afterwards. if you haven't played, i highly recommend it!
saturday was spent lounging outside before going to the most magical wedding reception at sundance. it wasn't at the actual resort, but a little spot of open land right after where they strung market lights, had candles everywhere, & really cute, simple decorations everywhere. as well as a giant swing that swung out overeverything & a zipline that went over the river running through the reception. it was magical. plus, the brides dress was really the most amazing thing i've ever seen.
after the reception we went & got taco's at rocco's taco truck down in provo, if you haven't tried them you should. austin & i used to eat there a lot when we lived in provo, it's so good. we went with a group of our friends that were at the wedding & some that met up. it was so fun to hangout with all of them just the two of us, we don't get the opportunity that much now days, we had almost forgot what it is like hanging out late at night, out on the town with friends. the parent life kind of sucks it out of you for the most part, haha.
sunday we went to church, cleaned up the house, drove through american fork canyon (we do a lot of drives on sundays) & went to morgan & kristi's house to test out their new firepit with some hotdogs & s'mores. it was the perfect ending to a pretty good weekend.
